Shipping Your Bouquet
Ready to prep for shipping your bouquet or looking for a refresher before you send it off? Look no further!
Supplies You Need:
- Large enough box to fit the flowers and packing material (I recommend a long flower box if possible-many times your local florist has a bunch)
- Shredded Paper or Poly-fill
- Shipping Paper
- Ice Packs
- Sandwich Bags
- Paper Towels
- Rubber Bands
- Packing Tape
1. Make sure the blooms on your bouquet have no water on them or inside of them. This is the first line of defense against browning.
2. Wet a few paper towels and wrap them around the bottom of the stems and cover with a sandwich bag. Put a rubber band around the top of the bag so the paper towels aren't going to leak water out.
3. Pack shipping paper around the stems in the box, being very careful not to hit the blooms. Make sure to put enough that the bouquet won't shift.
4. Carefully place shredded paper or Poly-fill around the blooms to protect them. It doesn't need to be packed super tight.
5. Place ice packs on either side of the box near the stems. Tape them onto the box with packing tape.
***If you have any pictures or mementos that you're wanting included, please keep them separate in a water-proof bag. ***
Now you just have to overnight the flowers to the address provided to you! I'm so looking forward to seeing your beautiful bouquet!
