As a florist and wedding vendor, the love for a vision board is real! When a bride comes to us with lots of pictures, apologizing for it, I always tell her she has absolutely no reason to worry. It's so helpful to every vendor to know exactly what you're looking for.
A vision board can be lots of things, from an array of pictures in a folder to a beautifully curated collage to a Pinterest board. You don't need to feel pressured to make anything stunning. As long as you know the vision you're going for, you're good!
There's lot of places to get inspiration for your vision board for your wedding. Searching sites such as Pinterest, Google images, and browsing wedding websites can give you lots of ideas.
Pro Tip: If you're trying to save a photo to your computer and it's only saving as a full webpage, try right clicking on the picture and open it in a new tab. Then press CTRL and S to save and the majority of the time it will let you save it as an easier format for printing and saving, usually a JPEG!
I recommend pinning down your color scheme first. It makes it simpler to search by color. However, if you find something you love that is completely outside your color scheme, always go ahead and bring the pics to your vendor. A perfect example is a bridal bouquet; when we are given inspiration for the blooms we can always help you find the exact flowers in the colors you're wanting. We've been brought AI-generated bouquets before and ended up with a stunning arrangement with real beautiful blooms!
What can you use to put it all together? You can ask your vendors for their preferred way to see it. Some may ask you to email the pictures, or you can print them yourself and put them in a folder (although ink can be expensive!). Another option is to use Canva (a free online design software) and upload all your photos and arrange them in one to three pages. You can either download those and print them or, better yet, email a link to the vendor! I'll be making future posts on how to use Canva for this and other wedding DIY's so make sure to subscribe and keep an eye out for those!
Feel like you're ready? Go for it!
You can't do it wrong, so just be patient and kind to yourself.
